Hanging Out

Cousin Laura came over today and I was telling her how much Quin hates tummy time. Whenever I put him on his belly he screams his little head off after 2 minutes, tops. So, she decided to give it a try and didn't he smile and laugh for her like he loves tummy time! Way to make mommy look like a rookie, Quin.

Happy Birthday Auntie Gigi!

In honor of Aunt Gigi's birthday, Quin made his first sign...ok, he drooled on his first sign. Still, it's the thought that counts.

Now Quin's not very good at remembering birthdays so I don't want angry comments when someone's birthday passes and Quin doesn't make them a sign. Between my huge family and my ten thousand in-laws we'd be making signs and taking pictures every day of the year if we tried to keep up!

Puree Away

Well I finally have something good to put on my application for mother of the year. According to several websites, good mothers puree their own home-made baby food for their little gummy bundles of joy. So, I spent a couple of hours preparing fresh apples and bananas for Quin today. This is what he thought of my freshly picked and prepared apples. I wish the picture came out better because his face says it all. Needless to say, I will not be home-cooking all of his meals. However, now I can add 'puree' under 'shake-and-bake' in my cooking repertoire.
