Hey Mama
Yesterday, Quin said his first word! His father was making him do tummy time and, after a few minutes of shimmying backwards, Quin wanted to be picked up. I came into the room as he was doing his usual frustrated cries of "mmm mmm" but did not pick him up. Then, clear as day, he said "Mama." So, I swooped down, picked him up and began telling him what a genius he is. Joe claims it was just a variation on the "mmm mmm" theme but I think he's just jealous. Anyway, I got to hear Quin say "Mama" and Quin got out of doing tummy time so it's really a win-win. Here are some pictures of my baby genius at Grammy's house. I'm hoping his obsession with eating my hair will end once he grows some of his own!

By the way, in case anyone is wondering about the strawberry birth mark, I don't remember the real name for it but a few people have called it an angel kiss. I call it God's seal of approval. I'll give a prize to anyone who can give me the actual name :) I'm told it goes away on its own eventually. If not, he can get a really cool tattoo to disguise it! As you can see by the pictures, he got a real kick out of bath time in the sink. Just one more reason Grammy is way more fun than Mommy!
